(As a pilot has to obtain license for flying of civil aircraft, similarly the engineer has to obtain an aircraft engineer license issued by the D.G.C.A. Govt. of India, for maintenance and certification of Civil Aircraft. Graduate engineers of any branch cannot act as an Aircraft Engineer unless they undergo license course and obtain license).

Eligibility/ Educational Qualification
Intermediate or 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics in aggregate or Diploma or Degree in any of branch of engineering with minimum 50% marks.
Age
17 to 24 years
Selection procedure
As per merit list on the basis of written entrance test's performance.
Admission Procedure
Admission once in a year - July.
Prospectus & Application Forms available throughout the year. Cost of the prospectus Rs. 500/- if taken by hand from the counter and Rs. 500/- by registered post. Demand Draft should be in favour of "Indian Institute Of Aeronautical Science" payable at Delhi or through M.O.
Scholarship offered by some of the Institutes
Merit Scholarships for bright students at different stages of the institutional exam and D.G.C.A License examination for their better performance i.e. upto Rs. 60,000/-.

1. This training course is also applicable to ICAO (INTERNATIONAL CIVIL AVIATION ORGANISATION), so after completion students may go abroad for higher and advance studies or job.
